Recent months have seen celebs encouraging the trend for jumpsuits / one-piece suits, not only on a day-to-day basis but on special occasions and especially on the red carpet. I reckon if you haven’t already indulged in a jumpsuit, then this summer is the perfect time to step in to one. Even if the idea of them makes you recoil in horror, you can’t deny that if you want to keep bang on trend this season, the jumpsuit is the only way to go. Now before you run screaming from the high street, stop. Read these hints and tips on how to wear this summer’s one-piece in a flattering way that will have you brimming with confidence throughout the season.

· Pick a color that suits you, we all nearly always navigate towards black, instead pick something bold and juicy like watermelon, mustard or even violet.

· A lot of the jumpsuits are available in satin and jersey. If you do choose jersey make sure it isn’t gathered at the waist and isn’t too high waisted. It will make your bum look huge unless the top of the jumpsuit is baggy and hangs over the waist band.  Try and select a cotton mix jumpsuit or a jumpsuit that is made from two separate fabrics.

· Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize… as you would with a dress but. It’s even more important with a jumpsuit as they are designed to be a complete outfit. Add a belt, a chunky necklace, over-sized clutches look amazing with jumpsuits.

· The right footwear is a must, so select to suit both the outfit and the event, big strappy heels for evening and sleek long leg jumpsuits; embellished flip flops for day time and shorts jumpsuits.

· In a similar vein to ensuring that you accessorize, try to pick embellished jumpsuits. Those that have floral prints, embroidery or bows will help break up the whole look and keep the eye moving across the outfit.

· An easy way to choose a jumpsuit if you are overwhelmed with the choice is to consider the top and bottom half almost as separates.

Jumpsuits come in a bevy of styles , halter, one shoulder, strapless, short-sleeve, bandeau, 3/4th  leg, shorts, structured and tailored, or loose and flowy, whatever you decide to go with remember to have fun.
