Veronica Ebie Odeka is one of the most sought after names in the fashion industry. Aside from boasting some of the highest profile clients in the entertainment industry, she is a fierce entrepreneur.

Veronica moved back to Nigeria and has been unstoppable ever since, from styling the beautiful Genevieve Nnaji, to opening her own showroom, raising her family and launching her nail polish line, she’s a force to reckon with.

Veronica took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with Pulse about her career, family, ventures and the fashion industry.

Veronica explained that being stylish is about being consistent with your individual style from head to toe.

She also explains that moving to the fashion industry in Nigeria was definitely an eye opener; “Growing up in the states, you have a lot of organization...people work with time…” She however claims that it’s been great  because her background in communication helped her with networking, which is the same in the states.

In working with her celebrity clients, she says that she initially had bad experiences, but she has since “learned the business of styling...there’s a business behind it and as soon as I was able to learn it on my own, own it, I had no problems working with the celebrities”

She also revealed that “my nail polish line is an extension of my fashion.” She also considers nail polish an easy transition from fashion to beauty and recalls her first contact with makeup was nail polish.

In terms of her her greatest accomplishments and styling jobs, she highlights the last styling job she did with Genevieve as her best ‘cos they work great together. As for her greatest accomplishment, she mentions having her daughter and diving into nail polish business.
