It is the month of December, the city is buzzing with events at every nook and cranny. Ebonylife premiered a new movie last Sunday and the style theme was opulently Nigerian.
It was a hall full of celebrities, dignitaries all looking glam in different cultural garments.
On that note, we will be giving a few tips on how to include culture into your wardrobe.

There are quite a number of accessories designers who use coral beads, Adire and asooke to make bags, jewelry, foot wear, turbans, scarves and the list goes on..... Here are a few brands you can look at.
2) Go for brands that manipulate fabric. Some brands do no wrong manipulating fabrics by mixmatching or underlaying and many more other ways. A few of the many designers who do this are:
3) Be unconventional: Avoid doing the norm when selecting styles for for your cultural fabric.
For lifestyle, you can play around when soft furnishing using homes accessories made with cultural materials.

Gone are the days when suits were worn by only bankers or corporate workers. Suits are fast becoming a staple in every woman's' closet and have become the go-to fashion item when looking to make a statement. They can be worn to any event depending on the style and cut of the suit.
On that note this, here are 4 tips to consider when picking a suit for yourself.
1. Go bold
Considering the fact that suits have been long seen as a formal clothing, it can get tricky to wear a suit without appearing a bit serious. Having this challenge, go for a suit in a bright hue or one with prints or patterns in bright hues.
2. Play with embellishments
To avoid formality, opt for a suit with embellishment, see it like toppings on your ice cream. Your suit does not have to be plain/boring. You can play with any form of embellishments, could be fringe, petals, badges, as you please. You can buy an already made one or take an old suit and DIY (do it yourself).
3. Texture.
This is one tip that applies in most styling tips. Texture can help transfer the most basic outfits. Go for a sequin suit, a mix with velvet, a suit made from lace fabric, anything that sits well on your skin and makes you feel comfortable.
4. Wear it all with confidence. This can never be overstated.

The 2018 Gtb fashion weekend took place this past weekend in Lagos. As usual, there were a lot of amazing designers showcasing their latest collections and fashion vendors selling their pieces at amazing prices.
Vane style was commisioned to style the mannequins on the Vip walkway.
Using her style senses, Mrs Veronica Odeka curated this lineup from a few Nigerian designers' collection that fit the brief given.
4. Yuteerone
Alongside the VIP walkway, vanestyle was commissioned to style the display windows and we brought our magic.
In collaboration with amazing Nigerian brands, we were able to bring the vision of the gtb fashion weekend team to live.
Here are a few pictures of the window display.
It is quite imperative to add that Nigerian fashion creatives are doing exceptionally well with their designs. We appreciate their work.
