Monochrome as the word implies simply means one colour. Monochrome looks are easy, fun and stylish. This could be your go-to look whenever you feel stuck.
Here are some of our tips for a perfect monochrome look.
1. COLOUR.
Always pick a colour that compliments your skin tone. Look through your closet and pull out all the items(trouser, skirt, top, dress, jacket) in the colour that you have picked then start pairing.
2. TEXTURE.
Mix textures; it is a great way to add fun and interest to your monochrome look. You don't want to look boring. Texture will give visual pleasure.
3.Balance.
This is important for every look, not just monochrome. You don't want the outfit to overwhelm you. To keep things safe, play with proportions. If you are wearing a bulky top, wear a more fitted bottom.
4. Highlight the good.
It is important to take note of your best features and use the different shades/tint of the colour chosen to either hide or highlight your features. For example if you have big hips and want to hide it, you would want to use a wear a darker shade of your chosen colour at the bottom.

I know you just thought about Christina Milan after reading this title. Lol! No, it is not the lyrics to her song, it is about shoes that give the ease of an all-day wear.
After a long day of hustle and bustle especially in a city as busy as Lagos, it is normal to want to wind down at a pub. While doing this, there is the desire to feel and look relaxed and fun.
That being said, we can not underestimate the importance of a pair of shoes that gives you comfort yet formal, fun and easy.

Covered Block heel shoes, Kitten heel shoes, and slingback shoes are the go-to shoes to give you an all-day wear and can be fun, easy and formal.
To keep things interesting opt for the aforementioned style of shoes with an embellishment or accessory. e.g. something with pearl, stones, something floral or it could be a pair of slingback or block heel shoes in a bright hue or bold print.

We started our summer with some white style vibes and how-to (click for the previous post on how to wear white in summer). Now we are stepping it up with bright color hues and looks to help keep your summer looks stylish and interesting.
I know the thought of adding vivid colors to your summer wardrobe can be a bit scary but we gat you.
Here are our top 3 tips on how to go all color glam this summer.
BREAK IT UP
If you are new to wearing bright and bold colors I will say you start here. Pair a solid or Primary color (Red, Blue and Yellow) with a neutral print or strips. Or better still use your accessories to add a splash of color to your look. For me, a red shoe or bag always does the trick.
GO FOR ANALOGUE COLOURS
Here is a little something from the school days that we find very helpful in fashion. Shades that are next to each other in the color wheel are called analogous colors. Hues that are opposite each other are called contrasting colors. So pair up analogue color and you can never go wrong.
PAIR PRIMARY COLOURS.
With primary colors in mind, you can never go wrong. Mix up your primary colors: red, blue and yellow. Just like our CEO paired them up, they are perfect for a color block look and can be worn together.
Start paring up your colors and let's know how it goes.

Recently styled by us is the delectable Mo Abudu in an Orange Grey Project wrap dress for her speaking engagement at the Creative Nigeria Summit event.
We were going for a smart, fun and casual but still semi-corporate look and a wrap dress was exactly the perfect fit for what she wanted.
